Studying from Buddha

佛在灵山莫远求，灵山只在汝心头。
人人有个灵山塔，好向灵山塔下修。
Don’t seek for meeting Buddha by a long way，as the Buddha is in the Vulture Peak and which
is just rest upon your heart.
Everyone has a Vulture Peak Stupa，so all have the chance to cultivate under
that stupa.
“万缘放下朝灵山”，朝山不仅是一项有益身心的活动，亦是修行的行门之一，古德云：“读万卷书，不如行万里路”，更蕴含了其它深远的意义。
“Make a pilgrimage to Vulture Peak by
putting all things down”, Mountain pilgrimage is not only a sport benefitting
body and soul, but also one method of cultivation. Ancient guru said, “Reading
ten thousand books is not better than traveling ten thousand miles”, which also
implicates other profound meanings.
朝山的意义之一就是藉由礼拜外在有形的山，进而体悟内心那座无形的山，所谓“佛在灵山莫远求，灵山只在汝心头；人人有个灵山塔，好向灵山塔下修”。心即是佛，不假外求，灵山不远，在汝心中，此为朝山真正的含义之一。
One of the significances of mountain pilgrimage is getting to
realize the inner invisible mountain by worshiping the external visible one,
just as the saying goes: Don’t seek for meeting Buddha by a long way ，as the Buddha is in the Vulture Peak and which
is just rest upon your heart. Everyone has a Vulture Peak Stupa， so all have the chance to cultivate
under that stupa. The heart is the Buddha, so you don’t need to request from
outside. The Vulture Peak is not far away but lies in your heart. That is one
of the true meanings of mountain pilgrimage.
佛在经中说：“我涅槃以后，供养顶礼四大圣地，与顶礼我没有任何差别。”
Lord Buddha once said in the sutra, “After my nirvana, there is
no any difference between making offerings and paying homage toward the four
holy lands and prostration before me.”
佛陀曾在《杂阿含经》中开示道：‘诸比丘！在我涅槃之后，具信善男子善女人等，要尽形寿朝礼与忆念四个圣地。是哪四个呢？就是世尊诞生、成道、初转法轮与最后涅槃的地方。诸比丘！当我涅槃后，应该礼拜转绕这四个圣地的佛塔。’佛陀更说：‘由于此具信的功德，都将往生善道。’这便是朝圣的典故来源及意义所在。
Lord Buddha once expounded in Samyukt-agama Sutra, “ Bhikkhus, after my nirvana, good men and
women with firm beliefs should worship and recall the Four Holy Lands by making
the most use of their lifetime. What are they? They are the places of birth,
enlightenment, first-sermon and nirvana of Buddha. Bhikkhus, after my nirvana,
worship and circumambulation around stupas in these four holy sites should be
done.” Buddha further addressed,
"those with such beliefs will transmigrate in good realms due to the
merits." That is the derivation and significance of Pilgrimage.
许多大成就者都有体悟：‘只要我们亲睹、听闻、忆念或接触到这些圣地，暂时的病痛障碍都将消除，具足无量善缘功德；同时也因我们至诚发愿的功德，将帮助我们证得究竟的佛果。’这就是佛弟子们要朝圣的部分原因。
Many great accomplishers had realized that as long as we witness,
hear, recall and access these holy sites, all temporal sickness and obstacles
will be eliminated; and in this way we accumulate infinite merits and benefits.
At the same time it will help us attain ultimate Buddhahood due to the merit of
the sincerest aspiration. Those are part of reasons why Buddhists should make a
pilgrimage.
是故，朝圣的动机一定要具备菩提心、慈悲心，为了一切如父如母的众生都能离苦得乐、成就佛道，因此我来朝圣。
Therefore, the motivation of pilgrimage must be based on the Bodhi
resolve and compassionate mind, which means that we should go on this
pilgrimage journey for all living beings, who are like our fathers and mothers,
can gain bliss, get rid of sufferings and attain Buddhahood.
这些都是你们经常听到的关于朝圣的重要意义及其功德。
Those are the important significances and merits of pilgrimage
which you may often hear.
师父多次开示到释迦牟尼佛圣地朝圣的殊胜加持和不可思议。今天还要再做开示，因为到释迦牟尼佛圣地朝圣礼佛太重要了。
Osifu has addressed many times the extraordinary bliss and inconceivability
of pilgrimage to Shakyamuni Buddha Holy Lands. Today Osifu will explain it
again because this kind of pilgrimage is extremely significant.
师父心里常常流露出一句话：作为一个佛子一定要到释迦牟尼佛圣地朝圣！
One word often flow in Osifu’s mind: One must make a pilgrimage
to Shakyamuni Buddha Holy Lands when he regards him as a child of Buddha!
师父要把这句话告诉所有的有缘人。
Osifu is going to tell this word to all predestined friends.
对于一个佛弟子来说，在地球上释迦牟尼佛圣地是我们的最重要的家园之一。
Shakyamuni Buddha Holy Lands are one of the most important
homelands on the earth for a Buddhist.
师父曾多次说过，只要时节因缘具足，只要经济条件允许，师父会一次又一次到释迦牟尼佛圣地朝圣礼佛。
Osifu has discoursed many times that Osifu will go to Shakyamuni
Buddha Holy Sites for pilgrimage and worship again and again as long as the requirements
are met and the economic condition is OK.
师父曾多次说过，只要众弟子有缘人愿意，只要时节因缘具足，只要经济条件允许，师父愿意一次又一次带领众弟子有缘人到释迦牟尼佛圣地朝圣礼佛。
Osifu has expounded many times that Osifu will take followers and
friends to Shakyamuni Buddha Holy Sites for pilgrimage and worship again and
again as long as the requirements are met and the expenses are affordable.
师父要把大家带到释迦牟尼佛的面前！
师父要把大家带到灵山大会！
师父要把大家带到祇园大会！
师父要把大家带到楞严大会！
Osifu determined to take you all to the front of Shakyamuni
Buddha.

师父常说，我们要沿着释迦牟尼佛的足迹前行。

Osifu often says that we should advance by following the trace of
Shakyamuni Buddha.

Too many Buddhists deviated from the track of Shakyamuni Buddha,
which is really a pity, too painful and lamentable.

太多的学佛人被树叶遮住了太阳。

太多的学佛人被师父、法师、法王、活佛、上师、大师等屏蔽，以至于无法见到释迦牟尼佛的光明。
Too many Buddhists were blanked from the sunlight by leaves.
Too many Buddhists were clouded from the moonlight by campfire.
Too many Buddhists were shielded from the illumination of
Shakyamuni Buddha by Masters, Dharma Masters, and Dharma Kings, living Buddhas,
Rinpoches, and Gurus and so on.
学佛人要见佛，要见释迦牟尼佛！
学佛人和释迦牟尼佛之间不能有任何的隔阂！
Buddhists need to meet Buddha, need to meet Shakyamuni Buddha!
There must be no inaccessibility between Shakyamuni Buddha and
Buddhists!
师父知道很多人、事、物挡在佛弟子和释迦牟尼佛之间。这是一个阴谋、这是一个圈套、这是一个陷阱、这是一个迷局。
Osifu knows that there are many people and things blocking between
Shakyamuni Buddha and Buddhists, which is a conspiracy, a trap, a snare and a puzzle.

诸佛如来不是封建迷信的枷锁，诸佛如来是我们的严父慈母。
佛心性海是我们共同的永恒的家园。那里有我们无始劫以来的亲人家人等待我们早日团聚。
Buddhas are not the superior idol highly overhead, but our loved
ones and families.
Buddhas are not the fetters of feudal superstition, but our stern
fathers and compassionate mothers.
The Buddha-source and Nature Ocean is our common and eternal
homeland where our families and relatives from beginingless eons are waiting us
for sooner reunion.
“直指人心、直指归家”，师父所能做的也只有这些了。
“Aiming at the human minds and direct the beings home”, which is what
Osifu can only do.
师父期待你们早日迷途知返。
师父期待你们早日舍离五欲。
师父期待你们早日修心圣道。
师父期待你们早日断恶修善。
师父期待你们早日回心向佛。
师父期待你们早日回归回家。
师父时刻祝福你们！
Osifu is expecting you could awaken to return from the stray way
