Compassionate Salvation
April 11th, 2012
是金子就要发光！
It is Gold that must glitter!
是明珠就要放光！
It is a bright pearl that must emit light!
已经埋没太久太久。
You have been buried for too long time.
人到七十古来稀。
It’s been rare since ancient times that a
man lives to be seventy years old.
数一数算一算我们还能再活多少年。释迦牟尼佛住世80载。
Count how many years we can live from now
on. Shakyamuni Buddha had remained in the world eighty years.
剩下的短短的几十年，十几年，几年，我们能为世界、人类、祖国、社会、家庭、他人奉献些什么？
In the rest of the short decades, a little
over ten years or several years, what can we do for the universe，human beings，the
country and society, family and other people?
师父明觉为亿灵奉献的有效时间越来越少。
Osifu knows clearly that time available
to devote to living
beings is getting less.
师父在尽心尽力全力以赴为地球、为人类、为祖国、为社会奉献自己的一切智能，鞠躬尽瘁死而后已。
Osifu is trying his best to devote all
intelligence to the earth、human
beings、the country
and society, sparing
no effort until heart stops beating.
保尔柯察金有一句名言，师父一直很喜欢。
Pavel Korchagin had a golden saying which Osifu
likes very much.
“人, 最宝贵的是生命；它，给予我们只有一次。人的一生，应当这样度过：当他回首往事时，不因虚度年华而悔恨，也不因碌碌无为而羞耻；这样在他临死的时候，他就能够说：我已经把我的整个生命和全部精力，都献给了这个世界上最壮丽的事业——为了人类的解放而斗争。”
‘The most precious thing of a man is life;
it is given us only once.
The whole life of a man should spend like
this: when he or she looks back in the past, he or she will not regret because
of time idled away, nor did he or she shame himself of herself because of mediocrity. So
when he or she was dying, he or she could say: I had devoted all of my whole
life and energy to the most magnificent undertaking in this world--- fighting
for the human beings' emancipation。’
我们也应当有这种觉悟：当我们回首往事时，不因虚度年华而悔恨，也不因碌碌无为而羞耻。
We shall also have such awareness: when we recall
the past, we won’t regret because of time idled away, nor do we feel shame
because of mediocrity.
在我们临死的时候，我们就能够说：我已经把我的整个生命和全部精力，都献给了这个世界上最壮丽的事业——为了宇宙的祥和而奉献。
When we are dying, we can say: I have
devoted all of my whole life and energy to the most magnificent undertaking in
this world---dedicating to the peace and auspiciousness of the universe.
大救度是宇宙中最大的公益事业。
The Great Salvation is the biggest undertaking
of public welfare in the universe.
大救度是宇宙中最大的慈善事业。
The Great Salvation is the biggest cause
of charity in the universe.
大救度是宇宙中最大的民生事业。
The Great Salvation is the biggest cause of
people's livelihood in the universe.
有人问如何去救度？
Some people ask how to rescue?
救度的方式方法很多很多，在这里简列十种：
There are a great many ways of salvation, such
as the following ten kinds:
1、劝人断恶是救度。
1. Persuading people to cut off doing all
evils is salvation.
2、劝人修善是救度。
2. Persuading people to practice all virtues is
salvation.
3、导人向佛是救度。
3. Guiding people to practice Buddhism is salvation.
4、模范德行是救度。
4. Obeying laws to be a model of virtuous behaviors is salvation.
5、现身说法是救度。
5. Demonstrating the Way with one’s own conducts is salvation.
6、环保节能是救度。
6. Environmental protection and energy conservation
is salvation.
7、科学发展是救度。
7. Scientific development is salvation.
8、平衡持续是救度。
8. Balanced development is salvation.
9、和谐三才是救度。
9. Harmonizing the Heaven, Earth and Human
is salvation.
10、正本清源是救度。
10. Correcting deviation and restoring the
origin is salvation
慈悲救度，宇宙本来。
Compassionate salvation is the true nature of the universe.
慈悲救度，继往开来。
Compassionate salvation continues with the past and opens up the
future.
慈悲救度，薪火相传。
Compassionate salvation passed on from generation to generation
慈悲救度，直指归家。
Compassionate salvation aims at returning home directly.
慈悲救度，亿灵归心。
Compassionate salvation helps all sentient beings to find their own paths for
ascension.
慈悲救度，利益人天。
Compassionate salvation benefits
both human beings and Celestials.
慈悲救度，苦海行船。
Compassionate salvation
is like sailing a boat in a sea of sufferings.
斗转星移不离天，
亿灵流落不知返。
救拔超度归本源，
回心合道真佛现。
就以此偈《真佛现》作为今日开示的结语吧。
The stars change in positions
but never deviate from their orbits in the sky.
All sentient beings are wandering and unaware of
returning home.
Releasing and rescuing souls
help them ascend to origin source.
After tuning the mind to
converge with the Way, the real Buddha appears.
Let’s conclude today’s
instructions by the verse the real Buddha
appears.
