今天是 释迦牟尼佛圣诞日 普天同庆！
Today is the memorial birthday of Buddha Shakyamuni .
The whole world joins in the jubilation!
作为佛子，《释迦牟尼佛传》一定要看，反反复复看。
As a Buddhist follower, you must read the Biography
of Buddha Shakyamuni over and over again.
师父十几年前初学佛时，曾经购得一本《释迦牟尼佛传》，如获至宝，反复参学。也不记得看了多少遍，书都读破了。
Over ten years ago, as a beginner of the Buddhism,
Osifu bought a book of the Biography of Buddha Shakyamuni as if he had
got a valued treasure and comprehended it repeatedly. Osifu had read this book
which got broken at last more times than he could remember.
释迦牟尼佛是人间有史以来有文字记载以来，唯一的果地佛。也可以说，人间有史以来有文字记载以来，只有释迦牟尼示现成佛。
学佛，首先当学释迦牟尼佛。
Since the beginning of recorded history, Buddha
Shakyamuni has been the only Buddha on effect ground in the mortal world. In
other words, since the beginning of recorded history, only Buddha Shakyamuni
has manifested the Buddhahood. Now that we learn from Buddhas, we should learn
from Buddha Shakyamuni first.
释迦牟尼佛传版本很多，还有一些版本叫《成佛之路》《觉悟之路》等等，也有电子书。都很好，希望大家找到放到自己空间或上传到群共享、网站。
There are many versions of the Biography of Buddha Shakyamuni, other
versions such as The Way of Achieving Buddhahood, The Way of Enlightenment
including e-books, etc. All of them are very nice. Hope that you find and
upload them to your own web-space, chatting group's space or websites.
今天师父郑重推荐大家深入参读《释迦牟尼佛传》。希望你们三天或七天内看完第一遍。
Today, Osifu solemnly recommends you to further read
and comprehend the Biography of Buddha
Shakyamuni. Hope that you can finish reading it in 3 or 7days for the first
time.
口口声声说学佛，却不了解本师释迦牟尼佛的行愿怎么能行？
口口声声说学佛，眼里口里心里只有所谓大师活佛怎么能行？
口口声声说学佛，眼里口里心里只有所谓法王仁波切怎么能行？
口口声声说学佛，眼里口里心里只有所谓名师高人怎么能行？
You keep on saying that you learn from the Buddha,
but you don't understand the Fundamental Teacher--Buddha Shakyamuni's deeds. How
could that work?
You keep on saying that you learn from the Buddha,
but you don't understand the
Fundamental Teacher--Buddha Shakyamuni's practice and
vows. How could that work?
You keep on saying that you learn from the Buddha,
but only so called Great Master and Dharma Prince are in your eyes, lips and mind.
How could that work?
You keep on saying that you learn from the Buddha,
but only so called Living Buddha and Rinpoche are in your eyes, mouth and mind.
How could that work?
You keep on saying that you learn from the Buddha,
but only so called Famous teacher and Superior are in your eyes, lips and mind.
How could that work?
你们一定要信佛呀！
You must believe in Buddhas!
师父经常说这句话：一定要信佛呀！
Osifu often says this words: Do believe in Buddhas!
有些学佛人，不信佛。
Some people who learn from the Buddha don't believe
in the Buddha.
他们信的是大师、法王、活佛、仁波切、高人。
They believe in Great Master, Dharma Prince, Living
Buddha, Rinpoche and Superior.
呵呵
大师、法王、活佛、仁波切、高人都是走在修行的路上，都不是果地佛。
Well, the Great Master, Dharma Prince, Living
Buddha, Rinpoche and Superior, all of whom are just on the way of practice, are
not Buddhas on effect ground.
释迦佛的教法才是唯一的依据，释迦佛的教法才是你应该深信不疑的。
Only the teachings of Buddha Shakyamuni are the only
basis and what you should believe in without a shadow of doubt.
师父也多次告诉大家：
Osifu has also told you many times:
〇sifu是天地行者。
〇sifu是佛法践行者。
〇sifu是道法践行者。
〇sifu是正法大道行者。
〇sifu是宇宙行者。
Osifu is the practitioner of heaven and earth.
Osifu is the dedicated practitioner of Buddha
Dharma.
Osifu is the dedicated practitioner of TaoTeachings.
Osifu is the practitioner of Proper Dharma and Great
Way.
Osifu is the practitioner of the universe.
〇sifu只是普普通通一行者，〇sifu不是大师、法王、活佛、仁波切、高人。
Osifu is only an ordinary practitioner but not the
Great Master, Dharma Prince, Living Buddha, Rinpoche and Superior.
〇sifu也不过是昔日释迦佛座下听经闻法者。
Osifu was nothing but the one who has heard sutras and
dharma under Buddha Shakyamuni’s seat in the past.
〇sifu过去没有名气、现在也没有名气、将来或者会有人记得〇sifu及〇sifu所行的道。
Osifu was not famous in the past, nor is he in the
present. Maybe someone would remember Osifu and the Way that Osifu practices in
the future.
〇sifu如此的敬重本师释迦牟尼佛，你们作为〇sifu的弟子更应该敬重赞叹顶礼释迦牟尼佛。
Osifu is so respectful for the
Fundamental Teacher--Buddha Shakyamuni. As Osifu's followers, you should be more respectful
for, praise and worship Buddha Shakyamuni.
〇sifu如此的深信本师释迦牟尼佛，你们作为〇sifu的弟子更应该依教奉行、欢喜赞叹、深信释迦牟尼佛教法。
Osifu has such a deep faith in the
Fundamental Teacher--Buddha Shakyamuni. As Osifu's followers, you should more diligently practice
following the teachings, praise delightedly and deeply believe the teachings of
Buddha Shakyamuni without a shadow of doubt.
〇sifu本来并不打算留下名号。就像教育界常说的一句话“捧着一颗心来 不带半根草去”。
Osifu shouldn’t have left any name. Just like the
saying in educational circle: Come with a heart and leave with nothing.
奈何娑婆世界众生著于名相，也只好随顺众生，勉强用了一个不是名号的名号---〇sifu。
However, the sentient beings in the Saha world cling
to the name and form. In order to follow them, a name which is not one is used
narrowly---Osifu.
舟者，小船也。
The canoe is a small boat.
〇sifu者，小船船夫也。
Osifu is the boatman.
呵呵
永远不要神化〇sifu！
永远不要佛化〇sifu！
永远不要宣传〇sifu！
Well, never apotheosize Osifu!
Never regard Osifu as a Buddha!
Never publicize Osifu!
Osifu is willing to be a ladder to humans and a
ladder leading to the heaven in obscurity for predestined friends, for beloved ones,
for spirits who were originally oneness......
〇sifu承当千钧、承当万钧。默默无闻的为有缘为亲人为本来一体的光......
Osifu undertakes extremely heavy load in obscurity for
predestined friends, for beloved ones, for the light that was originally
oneness......
应以释迦牟尼佛为榜样！
We should take Buddha Shakyamuni as the example.
不管我们过去曾经是谁，都已经不重要了，都要从零开始。
不管我们来头有多大，都已经不重要了，都要从零开始。
不管我们天上地位有多高，都已经不重要了，都要从零开始。
不管我们过去世修为多好，都已经不重要了，都要从零开始。
不管我们过去世地位多低，都已经不重要了，都要从零开始。
不管我们过去世业障多少，都已经不重要了，都要从零开始。
不管我们过去根基多差，都已经不重要了，都要从零开始。
No matter who we were in the past, which has been no
longer important, all of us would begin from scratch.
No matter how great the background was, which has
been no longer important, all of us would begin from scratch.
No matter how high the heavenly position was, which
has been no longer important, all of us would begin from scratch.
No matter how good the cultivation was in the past
lifetime, which has been no longer important, all of us would begin from
scratch.
No matter how low the status was in the past
lifetime, which has been no longer important, all of us would begin from
scratch.
No matter how many karmic obstacles were in the past
lifetime, which has been no longer important, all of us would begin from
scratch.
No matter how weak the groundwork was in the past,
which has been no longer important, all of us would begin from scratch.
现在的我们，都在一个起跑线上。
现在的我们，都在攀越崇山高巅。
现在的我们，都在逆水破浪行船。
Now, we are standing on the same starting line.
Now, we are climbing high mountains and ridges.
Now, we are sailing boats against the current and
waves.
呵呵
不要看轻自己，我们都是因地佛。
不要看轻自己，我们都是未来佛。
不要看轻自己，我们都是自性佛。
不要看轻自己，我们都是本来佛。
Well
Don't underrate yourself. All of us are Buddhas of
causal stage.
Don't underrate yourself. All of us are future Buddhas.
Don't underrate yourself. All of us are self-natural
Buddhas.
Don't underrate yourself. All of us were originally Buddhas.
你我他，必定成佛！
You, I and he will become the Buddha for sure!
你们我们他们，必定回归！
You, we and they will return back for sure!
老版《封神榜》的主题歌，师父很喜欢,“让生命化作那朵莲花，功名利禄全抛下......”
Osifu likes the theme song of the old version of The
Legend of Deification very much, which is that let the life turn
into the lotus, and put all of the position and wealth down.....
一弟子:师父 我们能在一条起跑线上嘛？各人的根基还是差别好大的。比如我们跟师父就不能比的
One follower: Osifu, are we able to stand on the
same starting line? Everyone's foundation is in great difference. For example,
our foundations are not able to be compared with Osifu's.

弟子呀，那是你的分别心。
Dear follower, that's your discriminational mind.
佛说，众生平等。
佛说，本自具足。
佛说，诸佛如来一法身。
佛说，不二。
The Buddha said: All beings are equal.
The Buddha said: All beings are self-sufficient.
The Buddha said: All Buddhas and Tathagatas share one
dharma body.
The Buddha said: Non-duality.
一弟子：回归了以后做什么？
One follower: What will we do after returning back?

弟子呀，师父只盼你今生今世能往生西方极乐世界，究竟解脱。
你去了以后做什么，你自己决定吧。
Dear follower, Osifu only expects that you can get
rebirth to the Western Land of Ultimate
Bliss and attain the utmost liberation in this lifetime.
What you will do after arriving there is up to you.
弟子呀，你若乘愿再来，也是菩萨行愿。师父会赞叹你的，诸佛如来会赞叹你的。
Dear follower, if you come to the Saha world again
with vows that would be also practice and vows of a Bodhisattva, Osifu will
praise you, so will all Buddhas and Tathagatas.
弟子呀 师父刚才的开示，你没看进去呀
Dear follower, you didn't read those teachings of
Osifu by heart just now.
不管我们过去曾经是谁，都已经不重要了，都要从零开始。
No matter who we were in the past, which has been no
longer important, all of us would begin from scratch.
必修课：念佛打坐持楞严。持之以恒，必然成就。
The compulsory courses: Chant the name of the
Buddha, practice the mediation and recite Shurangama Mantra. Practice them with
perseverance and you will surely attain the achievement.
还有什么比当下更重要？
Is there anything else more important than the
present moment?
弟子呀 即使师父告诉你转过多少世、过去世是谁、为何贬下凡尘、有何因果。又有什么意义呢？你还是要好好修行。
Dear follower, although Osifu tells you that how
many times you have reincarnated, or who you were in the past lifetimes, or why
you were reduced to the earth, or what your causes and effects were,
will there be any significance? You still have to cultivate diligently as
usual.

风姿绰约
仪态万方

With the manner of great man
With graceful manner
Appearing in all your glory
Well
师父忆起了你们的过去。
Osifu has recalled your past.
看看现在的你们，一个个......呵呵
Well, now, look at you one by one...
好了，师父说过：不说负信息。
Ok, Osifu has said: Don't speak negative
information.
你们自己调整吧！
You adjust yourselves!
密码钥匙就在你们自己心里。
The code and key are in your own minds.
考验无处不在呀！
Tests are everywhere.
电视剧《神医大道公》就是在讲天神对 医者 的重重考验测试，合格才能做神仙。
The TV plays of The Miracle-working Doctor
Dadaogong are just saying that heavenly gods make numerous tests and
examinations for the doctor who will become an immortal if he passes them.
事实也是如此，我们时时都在接受考验、测试、过关才能上层次。
梦中也是，考验重重。
That's also the fact that we are receiving tests and
examinations all the time and only when we get passed
will we ascend to a higher level, so is that in the dream with numerous
tests.
俗话说“吃一堑长一智，”也是有道理的。
As the saying goes, a fall into the pit; a gain
in your wit. It also makes sense.
2010-05-21 下午师父开示：智信、顺道、遵循因缘果报律
The teachings given by Osifu at 15:07:01 on the
afternoon of May 21st, 2010：
（时一有缘人因为孩子生病垂危，寻路，发愿:只要小孩能好，我愿当下受菩萨戒）
(At the moment, a predestined friend's child is at
death's door and she is asking for the help and arousing the vow that as long
as her child recovers, she is willing to accept Bodhisattva Precepts right now.)

俗语说：无事不登三宝殿！
As a saying goes, never go to the temple for
nothing!
不要和佛菩萨谈条件，给你谈条件的必定不是佛菩萨。
Don't negotiate with Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Those
who negotiate with you mustn't be Buddhas and
Bodhisattvas.
不要和明师谈条件，给你谈条件的必定不是明师。
Don't negotiate with the good advisor. The one who
negotiates with you mustn't be the good advisor.
不要和护法善神谈条件，给你谈条件的必定不是护法善神。
Don't negotiate with the Guardian Divinities and kindhearted
gods. Those who negotiate with you mustn't be the Guardian Divinities and kindhearted
gods.
命自我立，因果可转。
The life is made by oneself. Causes and effects can
be changed.
有缘人 好好修吧。为他回向。
Dear predestined friend, cultivate diligently and
transfer the merit to him.
放生是消灾延寿的一个好办法。
Animal liberation is a good method of dispelling calamities
and lengthening life.
给他找一个清净如法的寺庙师傅皈依也是一个好办法。
To let him take refuge with a temple's master who is
pure and practices according to the dharma is also a good method.
但有一点，师父要提醒大家：学佛是智信不是迷信。
But there is a point that Osifu has to remind you
all. Learning from the Buddha is the belief of wisdom not the superstition.
生病了第一要做的事是到医院就诊，早发现早治疗，相信科学。
然后，配合佛法，为他做功德回向，消业消障。如此才能治本。
When you get ill, the first thing for you is to go
to the hospital for early detection and treatment. You should believe in science.
After that, you may coordinate with Buddha dharma, do and transfer merits and
virtues to him in order to dispel karmic obstacles. Only in this way can it be
the permanent cure.
这个孩子也在度你们。
This child is rescuing you as well.
这个孩子的病，折射出了他的父母、爷奶祖上的因果修德。
His illness reflects his parents and grandparents'
causes, effects and merits.
有缘人，我们可以为这个孩子念佛回向祈福。
Dear predestined friend, we may chant the name of
Buddha, pray for the child and transfer the blessings and virtues to the child.
有缘人，可这不是交换条件，不是为让你皈依受菩萨戒。而是出于慈悲。
However, it is neither the conditions of exchange
nor letting you accept Bodhisattva Precepts. It's out of compassion.
我佛慈悲！
Our Buddha is compassionate!
佛菩萨没有分别心！
Buddhas and Bodhisattvas don't have the
discrimination in minds.
以后不要临急抱佛脚。
From now on, you won't make effort at the last
moment.
佛爷爷不是救命稻草。
Grandpa Buddha is not the lifesaving straw.
佛爷爷不是消防队员。
Grandpa Buddha is not the fireman.
佛爷爷不是万金油。
Grandpa Buddha is not the jack-of-all-trades.
佛爷爷不是私家保镖。
Grandpa Buddha is not the private bodyguard.
佛爷爷不缺香火。
佛爷爷不缺钞票。
佛爷爷不缺灯油。
佛爷爷不缺寺庙。
佛爷爷不缺弟子。
佛爷爷不缺金装。
Grandpa Buddha has no lack of burning incense.
Grandpa Buddha has no lack of money.
Grandpa Buddha has no lack of lamp oil.
Grandpa Buddha has no lack of temples.
Grandpa Buddha has no lack of followers.
Grandpa Buddha has no lack of gold clothes.
佛爷爷若是缺了任何一样，他就不是佛了。
因为只有一切圆满才成佛。
If Grandpa Buddha lacked for anything, he wouldn't
be the Buddha because only with everything perfect will he achieve the
Buddhahood.
所以，以后不要再给佛菩萨谈条件。
So, please don't negotiate with Buddhas and
Bodhisattvas any longer.
有些学佛人许愿很有意思，“佛菩萨保佑我升官（发财、美女、帅哥、病好、消灾....），我就给佛菩萨装金（灯油、金钱种种好处）”，师父觉得很好笑。
Osifu feels laughable for some Buddhist followers'
vows that if Buddhas and Bodhisattvas bless me to win promotion (or get rich,
beauty, handsome boy, or recover from illness, or dispel calamities.....), I
will gild them (or give them lamp oil, money and other benefits).
佛菩萨被有些人当做三岁小孩子了。
Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are treated as
three-year-old kids by some people.
佛菩萨被有些人当做唯利是图的贪欲之人了。
Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are treated as greedy ones
who work exclusively for profits by some people.
佛菩萨被有些人当做不会算账的痴子了。
Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are treated as stupid ones
who can't manage to do accounts by some people.
师父曾经和一个出家人交流过。这个和尚，讲了一件事情，今天师父也讲给大家听听。
At one time, Osifu communicated with a monk and he
told me a matter. Today, Osifu tells it to you all.
和尚在一个山间小庙修行，好像叫“银前寺”，一天去了几个香客拜佛烧香。
The monk cultivated in a small temple which might be
called Yinqian Temple on the mountain. One day, several pilgrims
went to pray to Buddhas and burn incense.
其中，有一家三口，穿着很体面。跪在佛前求佛，拿了一元钱投进了功德箱。
There was a family with three members among them who
dressed well and knelt down before Buddhas, and they put one yuan into the
merit box.
礼佛的时候，和尚在一旁敲磬，听到了他们对佛的要求。
When they offered worship to Buddhas, the monk hit
the musical stone aside and heard their demand of Buddhas.
他们用一元钱和佛菩萨交换，“请保佑我的孩子考上重点大学****”。
They used one yuan to make the exchange with Buddhas
and Bodhisattvas for the request: Please bless my child to be admitted into a
key university.....
这位和尚很耿直，忍不住接了他一句话“你好大的面子，你这一元钱好大！”
The monk was upright and couldn't help following
them to say: How big your honor is! This one yuan is so great!
这求佛的一家三口，听了这话很生气，气呼呼的走了。
This family with three members who prayed to Buddha
for blessing was very angry hearing this and left in a huff.
这个事情本来不值得讲，可是这个和尚却记了很久。
呵呵
Well，this matter would not have deserved to be told but
the monk has remembered it for a long time.
因缘果报规律是宇宙根本规律之一。
The rule of causes and effects is one of cosmic
basis rules.
释迦佛证悟到了发现了这个宇宙人生的真谛，并昭示给大众。
Buddha Shakyamuni discovered this truth of cosmos
and life, which was publicized to all people.
宇宙间没有任何一个神佛圣真能够改变宇宙规律。
There isn't any God, Buddha, Sage or Allah in the
universe who could change cosmic rules.
顺应宇宙规律、顺应大道，才是智慧的。
Only according to cosmic rules and the great Way
will it be the wisdom.
果报可以转。
要靠自己，遵循因缘果报律而转变之。
Effect can be transformed, which depends on
complying with the rule of cause and effect yourself.
要在心地用功夫。
Efforts should be made in the mind.
外功有一定作用，内功才是关键。
功，指的是功德。
External effort has the certain function while the
inner effort is the key.
Effort means the merit and virtue.
