净心精舍 是我们的精神家园,我们要齐心协力护持好、维护好。
The Jingxin Abode is our spiritual home, and we must work together to safeguard and maintain it well.

The Satisfactory Loft in Mind Purification Vihara is the spiritual home, paradise, campus, pure land, bliss land and holy land for all  followers named after Zhi, Qing, Jing and Miao. All followers and predestined friends should work together to safeguard and maintain it well. It is a noble job with boundless virtues and merits!

Cast Light on It

Great Vows and Practices

Meeting one’s true mind is just a beginning to get avoid of the worldlings.
Put down all thoughts in  mind and put one's great vows into practice.
Without great practices as the Samantabhadra does, how can one become the person under the Bodhi tree?

Osifu almost every day gives teachings about meeting the true mind and discovering the Buddha Nature.

 The Heart of Prajna Paramita Sutra, the Diamond Sutra, the Dharma Jewel Platform Sutra, the Eight Great Awakenings Sutra, and all the Buddha sutras are talking about meeting the true mind and discovering the Buddha Nature.
以后师父还会继续讲 明心见性,就看你什么时候彻悟。

Some follower asked: Master, please give further explanation about meeting the true mind and discovering the Buddha Nature.
佛子 第一步目标 断恶
佛子 第二步目标 修善
佛子 第三步目标 净心
妙明真心 是自然显发的。
修不修,你都有 妙明真心。
修不修,你都有佛性。
Buddhist Disciples! The first step is to cut off doing evil deeds.
Buddhist Disciples! The second step is to nurture conducting good deeds.
Buddhist Disciples! The third step is to purify your mind.
The profoundly enlightened mind is revealing naturally.
Cultivate or not, you have it all the same.
Cultivate or not, you always have the Buddha nature.
若说见性,人人时时处处能见。
Talking about discovering one’s Buddha Nature, everybody could have discovered it at any time anywhere.
若说明心,人人时时处处能明。
Talking about meeting one’s true mind, everybody could have met it at any time anywhere.
明心见性不难,当下承当不易。
Meeting the true mind and discovering the Buddha Nature is not difficult, but recognizing and taking it at the present moment is not easy.
明心见性不难,直取菩提不易。
Meeting the true mind and discovering the Buddha Nature is not difficult, but attaining the Bodhi fruit directly is not easy.
明心见性不难,破除无明不易。
Meeting the true mind and discovering the Buddha Nature is not difficult, but getting rid of the delusion is not easy.
明心见性不难,勤除习气不易。
Meeting the true mind and discovering the Buddha Nature is not difficult, but removing the bad habits is not easy.
明心见性不难,无我无为不易。
Meeting the true mind and discovering the Buddha Nature is not difficult, but being non-self and unconditioned is not easy.
明心见性不难,无欲无求不易。
Meeting the true mind and discovering the Buddha Nature is not difficult, but no desires or not pursue  personal benefits is not easy.
明心见性不难,无争无斗不易。
Meeting the true mind and discovering the Buddha Nature is not difficult, but no contending or fighting is not easy.
明心见性不难,心无分别不易。
Meeting the true mind and discovering the Buddha Nature is not difficult, but no discrimination and differentiation is not easy.
明心见性不难,清净自在不易。
Meeting the true mind and discovering the Buddha Nature is not difficult, but to be pure and peaceful is not easy.
明心见性不难,正等正觉不易。
Meeting the true mind and discovering the Buddha Nature is not difficult, but attaining the ultimate enlightenment is not easy.
明心见性不难,利己利人不易。
Meeting the true mind and discovering the Buddha Nature is not difficult, but benefiting oneself and others as well is not easy.
明心见性不难,自度度他不易。
Meeting the true mind and discovering the Buddha Nature is not difficult, but instructing and saving oneself and others as well as is not easy.
明心见性不难,自觉觉他不易。
Meeting the true mind and discovering the Buddha Nature is not difficult, but enlightening oneself and others as well  is not easy.
明心见性不难,觉行圆满不易。
Meeting the true mind and discovering the Buddha Nature is not difficult, but perfecting realization and practices is not easy.
穿衣吃饭 是妙明真心显发、是佛性启用。
Dressing and eating is the manifestation of profoundly enlightened mind, and the enablement of Buddha nature.
搬柴运水 是妙明真心显发、是佛性启用。
Moving firewood and carrying water is the manifestation of profoundly enlightened mind, and the enablement of Buddha nature.
举手投足 是妙明真心显发、是佛性启用。
Every your gestures and expressions is the manifestation of profoundly enlightened mind, and the enablement of Buddha nature.
一颦一笑 是妙明真心显发、是佛性启用。
Every twinkle and smile is the manifestation of profoundly enlightened mind, and the enablement of Buddha nature.
烦恼菩提 是妙明真心显发、是佛性启用。
Annoyance and Bodhi is the manifestation of profoundly enlightened mind, and the enablement of Buddha nature.
宇宙大千 是妙明真心显发、是佛性启用。
The entire Universe  and boundless world is the manifestation of profoundly enlightened mind, and the enablement of Buddha nature.
万法万有 是妙明真心显发、是佛性启用。
All  Dharma and existence  in the Universe are the manifestation of profoundly enlightened mind, and the enablement of Buddha nature.
有情无情 是妙明真心显发、是佛性启用。
All the sentient or insentient beings are the revelations of the profoundly enlightened mind, and the inspiration of the Buddha Nature.
妙明真心本无形,大哉佛性本无影。
The profoundly enlightened mind is actually invisible, while the great Buddha Nature is actually shadowless.
妙明真心本无声,大哉佛性本无音。
The profoundly enlightened mind is actually voiceless, while the great Buddha Nature is actually soundless.
真心佛性本妙明,妙明佛性本真心。
The true mind and Buddha Nature is actually profoundly enlightened, while the profoundly enlightened Buddha Nature is actually the true mind.
妙明真心显万形,大哉佛性显万影。
The profoundly enlightened mind  demonstrates all forms, while the great Buddha Nature  demonstrates all images.
妙明真心显万声,大哉佛性显万音。
The profoundly enlightened mind  demonstrates all voices, while the great Buddha Nature demonstrates all sounds.
真心佛性显万明,妙明佛性显万心。
The profoundly enlightened mind demonstrates all the great wisdom, while the great Buddha Nature  demonstrates all kinds of minds.
有缘人 :请问师父空性和觉性怎么理解?
Some predestined friends asked: Master please, how to understand the nature of emptiness and awareness?
师父 :这个问题,无须我回答。你回头看看师父刚做的开示,自己悟一悟。
Osifu: As for this question, Osifu doesn’t need to answer. You go back to the teachings that Osifu has just given then think and reflect yourself.
有弟子:师父 我本具足万能 为何我只能搬柴运水? 却不能搬动日月呢?
Some follower asked: Master, I am endowed with all powers but why I can only move firewood or carry water? Why I cannot move the sun or the moon?
佛子 你可悟到:
日月星辰同吾身,
山河大地同吾身。
宇宙万有同吾身,
有情无情同吾身。
Buddhist disciples! Have you ever realized?
The sun, the moon and the stars share one body with me and the mountains, rivers and earth share one body with me.
Everything in the entire Universe shares one body with me and all  sentient or insentient beings share one body with me.
规律法则同吾身,
正法大道同吾身。
The law and rules share one body with me and the Great Way of Proper Dharma share one body with me.
佛子 你可悟到:
日月星辰同吾心,
山河大地同吾心。
Buddhist disciples! Have you ever realized?
The sun, the moon and the stars share one mind with me, and mountains, rivers and earth share one mind with me.
宇宙万有同吾心,
有情无情同吾心。
The entire Universe share one mind with me and all sentient or insentient beings share one mind with me.
规律法则同吾心,
正法大道同吾心。
The laws and rules is the same mind as mine, and the Great Way of Proper Dharma is the same mind as mine.
佛子 你可悟到:
日月星辰同心身,
山河大地同心身。
宇宙万有同心身,
有情无情同心身。
规律法则同心身,
正法大道同心身。
Buddhist disciples! Have you ever realized?
The sun, the moon and the stars share one mind and one body.
The mountains, rivers and earth share one mind and one  body.
All existence in the entire Universe shares one mind and one body.
All  sentient or insentient beings share one mind and one body.  The laws and rules share one mind and one body.
The Great Way and the Proper Dharma share one mind and one body.
佛子 你可悟到:
日月星辰同一体,
山河大地同一体。
宇宙万有同一体,
有情无情同一体。
规律法则同一体,
正法大道同一体。
Buddhist disciples! Have you ever realized?

All sentient or non-sentient beings  are one .
The laws and rules are one .

佛子 你可悟到:

山河大地本无二。
宇宙万有本无二,
有情无情本无二。
规律法则本无二,
正法大道本无二。
Buddhist disciples! Have you ever realized?
The sun, the moon and the stars are of non-duality.
The mountains, rivers and earth are  of  non-duality .
Everything in the entire Universe is of   non-duality .
All  sentient or non-sentient beings are of  non-duality .
The law and rules are of the oneness.
The Great Way and the Proper Dharma are  non-duality .
佛子 你可悟到:
日月星辰本圆融,
山河大地本圆融。
宇宙万有本圆融,
有情无情本圆融。
规律法则本圆融,
正法大道本圆融。
Buddhist disciples! Have you ever realized?
The sun, the moon and the stars are actually in harmony and perfection.
The mountains, rivers and earth are actually in harmony and perfection.
Everything in the entire Universe is actually in harmony and perfection.
All  sentient or insentient beings are actually in harmony and perfection.
The law and rules are actually in harmony and perfection.
The Great Way and the Proper Dharma are actually in harmony and perfection.
一切本来 圆融无碍 无分无别
Everything is actually in harmony and Perfection without discrimination and differentiation.
日月无需人来搬,
周天运行任自然。
规律法则莫触犯,
谁人触犯谁人还。
The sun and the moon don’t need anybody to move them.
The operation of the Heaven is happening naturally.
Never violate the laws and rules.
Whoever offends it has to pay for it.
一切问题的根源:我执、妄想、分别。
The source for all  problems lies in the self-attachment, delusions and differentiation.
解决一切问题的办法:破我执
The method to solve all  problems: breaking self- attachment.
药方:回心向善 回心向佛。
Prescription: Tuning one’s mind to goodness, and tuning one’s mind to restore the Buddha Nature.
还有一个药方,至简至难。呵呵
There is another prescription, the easiest and the most difficult. Well
那就是:师父心咒
That is: Osifu’s heart mantra.
要给佛法 正本清源 可不容易
It is not easy to restore the Buddha Dharma to its original true color.
所以为师当机开示 留下一些偈子 供众弟子有缘人参悟。便于 直指人心 破迷开悟
So Osifu has given teachings according to situations and has written some gathas for  disciples and predestined friends to study and comprehend in order to direct them to their minds and help them to get out of illusions and attain enlightenment.
众弟子有缘人 切记:
道不在语言上
法不在偈语中
行间无雷音,
字字燃心灯。
But all  disciples and predestined friends have to keep in mind:
The Way cannot be defined by languages.
The Dharma does not lie in gathas.
There is no real Buddha Dharma between lines.
But every word serves to light up minds.

Teachings given by Osifu in Mar. 04 2010 evening:
刚才 浏览了一下群聊天记录,提醒大家一下。不谈和学佛无关的事,对时政更不要谈。
Osifu has just skimmed through the group chatting records and would like to remind you that don’t talk about anything unrelated to Buddhism learning, let alone the current affairs and politics.
净心修行,
不做愤青。
心净土净,
天下太平。
来了也有缘
留下也安然
走了也随缘
Cultivating and practicing with a purified mind, and don’t be a cynic.
When one has a pure mind he is in a pure land, and all under the Heaven is at peace and harmony.
To come is the destiny.
To stay, feel peace and easy.
To leave, just let it go.
为师的父亲 肺癌 去世的。师父经历此生离死别,悟透了很多很多。
Osifu’s father died of lung cancer. Osifu has gone through the sorrow of death separation and has realized a lot from it.
为了给父亲治病,师父不惜一切代价。
In order to cure father’s disease, Osifu had tried his best at all costs.
为师的父亲,后期 麻醉药止痛,师父 看着 非常痛苦。
Osifu’s father relied on narcotic painkillers in his late days and Osifu was very painful seeing that.
短短几月,父亲因化疗,头发变白,脱落。
瘦骨嶙峋,其状为师现在仍历历在目。
In just a few months, father’s hair turned white and off because of the chemotherapy, and father’s bony and skinny image is still so vivid to me.
为师 悟到了:老苦、病苦、死苦、爱别离苦、五阴盛苦、求不得苦。
Osifu has realized the suffering of aging, suffering of illness, suffering of death, suffering from the separation with loved ones, suffering from the five Skandhas and suffering of failure to gain.
父亲病故后,为师很久都接受不了这个事实。
After father died of disease, in a long time Osifu could not accept the fact.
有时甚至,以为 父亲 没有死。
Sometimes, Osifu even thought that father did not die.
有时,做梦,父亲 坟墓里 活生生的走了出来。
Sometimes, father came out of the grave alive in  dreams.
为师 和父亲 很深的缘。
Osifu has very deep connection with his father.
记得有一次,父亲做 鼻息肉 手术。父亲在手术台做手术,为师在外面等候。鼻子里面一直疼,直到手术结束。
Osifu remembered once when father had a nasal polyp surgery. Father was having the surgery on the operating table, while Osifu was waiting outside the operation chamber but his nose had been in pain until the end of father’s surgery.
通过 为师 父亲 病故,为师 悟到了很多很多
Through father’s death and disease, Osifu has realized a lot from it.
为师幼年家庭极为贫困,父母皆是文盲,目不识丁。造下 种种杀业,而又没能听闻佛法,不知杀生业重。
Osifu’s family was extremely poor in his early age, and both parents are illiterate.
They’ve made all kinds of killing karma, no chance to hear the Buddha Dharma and were unaware of the seriousness of killing karma.
因此杀业,父亲受此罪报。也给为师上了一堂最生动的 因缘果报 课。
为师悟到:因缘果报丝毫不爽。
Due to the killing karma, father received the retribution brought about by that, which also gave Osifu the most vivid lesson on karma and retribution.
Osifu has realized: karma and retribution is definitely real.
父亲,即亡,堕入神道。神道受供,也是逍遥。
父亲大人,愿力不大,只求与神朋仙友,把酒言欢,落个自由。
后经开示,佛力加持,渐次精进,辗转天道,求生净土。
Father fell into the realm of deity right after his death. The living beings in the realm of deity enjoy offerings, so it is also free and easy.
Father didn’t have greater resolve but only wished to live in freedom and hang around with deities or fairy friends drinking and laughing together.
After hearing teachings and receiving blessing from the Buddha power, he gradually worked more diligently. He was reborn to the Heaven later and made his mind to be reborn in pure land.
佛力不敌业
神通不敌业
法力不敌业
Powers of the Buddhas cannot change one’s karma.
Supernatural powers cannot change one’s karma.
Mana cannot change one’s karma.
弟子 既要透过 也要 悟透。
All followers should go through all obstacles completely but also have to understand them thoroughly.
赞叹弟子 发愿,但愿乘愿再来,而不求轮回。
Osifu praises follower’s great vow, seek for returning to the mundane land by vows but not seek for samsara.
众弟子切记:不可随便发愿。
All followers please keep in mind: don’t make vows arbitrarily.
发愿 也是 要落因果的。
Vows also bring about karma and retribution.
愿不可轻发,
Don’t make vows blindly.
缘不可轻结。
Don’t make connections to anybody blindly.
西藏 好像 流传一句话。
There seems a popular saying in Tibet.
一个人才出生的时候,所有的人都在笑,可他(她)自己却在哭。
一个人才死亡的时候,所有的人都在哭,可他(她)自己却在笑。
When one was born that all the people are smiling, but he or she is crying.
When one died that all the people are crying, but he or she is smiling.
生,并不可喜;死,并不可悲。
Birth is not joyful , while death is not lamentable.
这是透过生死者,对生死的态度。
This is the attitude towards birth and death of whom has gone through them.
佛性 不生不灭。
死的只是 色身。
The Buddha Nature is neither being born nor dying.
What has passed away is just the physical body.
妙心无相
法不外求
妙心具足
佛性具足
A marvelous mind is free from any forms.
Do not seek Dharma out of one’s mind.
A marvelous mind is endowed with everything.
Buddha Nature is endowed with everything.
你修不修、证不证,妙明真心都是不生不灭。
在圣不增,在凡不减。
No matter you practice or not, realize or not, the profoundly enlightened mind is always neither being born nor dying.
It neither increases if you are a saint, nor decreases if you are a mortal.
