Supernatural powers cannot cease samsara

一个修为好的人，即使他已经修出神通，他也不会张扬炫耀。慧而不用，只把神通作为救人度人的善巧方便。
A well-cultivated
person doesn't publicize or show off his supernatural powers although he has attained
such powers. The supernatural powers
are only used as skillful means to save and rescue people.
就是有眼功，也不会用来查别人的隐私，没必要查一查你长得什么样、你在做什么。
Although he has his third eye fully activated ,
he won't use his capability to detect other people's privacies, such as what other people look like and what other people are doing.
佛法是慧解脱，神通无法解决出离六道轮回问题。
Buddha Dharma is to attain ultimate liberation through wisdom . Supernatural powers can't solve the problem of
getting rid of birth and death cycle.
在 戒定慧上下功夫，不要在神通上浪费精力。
Working
hard on percepts, concentration and wisdom, and don’t waste
energy on supernatural powers.
“小疑小悟、大疑大悟”，要靠自己实修亲证。用神通来印证，借助神通来增强信力，通过神通来满足好奇心，这是学佛路上的偏差。
Small doubts get small
realization while big doubts get big ones. You are supposed to cultivate and verify it personally. If supernatural powers are used to verify capabilities, strengthen confidence and satisfy curiosities, which
is a kind of deviation on the way of practicing teachings of the Buddha.
学佛，讲究“信、解、行、证”修学次第。
Practicing
teachings of the Buddha must
follow the order of cultivation "believing,
understanding, practicing and verifying".
如果还在“信”上解决不了问题，在这个地方怀疑，就大错特错了。
If you
are still puzzling and hesitant on "believing", you are totally wrong.
“信”是“敲门砖”，若无信力，佛的大门永远都无法向你打开，尽管佛门无门。
"Believing" is a "stepping stone". The gate of
Buddha will never open for you without faith, although the Buddhism
doesn't have a gate.
确实，很多所谓学佛人不信佛。
Indeed, many so-called
Buddhists don’t believe in Buddha.
确实，很多所谓修行人不信佛。
Indeed, many so-called
practitioners don’t believe in Buddha.
确实，很多所谓学佛人不信佛法。
Indeed, many so-called
Buddhists don’t believe in Buddha Dharma.
信力不够，就想从外在找依据。通过外在增强自己的信力。这个方向是错误的，佛法在自己心里，莫外求。
Without enough power of believing,
one tends to look for justification from the external. To strengthen the
power of believing through external objects is misdirected. Buddha Dharma rests
in your own mind and don't pursue it from exterior.
莫说你们，就是释迦佛身边的很多修为很好的弟子，也是几进几退，这很正常。
Not only you, but many well-practiced
disciples of Shakyamuni Buddha had also gone through upwards and backwards,
which is normal.
若一个人神通力很大，你就对他有信力，就跟他走，这很危险。因为，魔王神通力很多佛菩萨再来的人都望尘莫及。
If you are faithful to one who has great supernatural powers and
follow him, you'll have
yourself in danger since the demon kings outdistance many of those who reincarnated
from Buddha and
Bodhisattvas far behind.
关键是，把握住当下！
The most important thing
is to make full use of the present moment and live in it!
三心不可得呀。
One should not rely on
the mind state of the past, the present, and the future.
