Teachings given by Osifu at noon time in
Mar. 06 2010: Buddhists disciples are indomitable
佛说法是狮子吼
The Buddha’s preaching is like lions’ roar.
佛是狮子王。
The Buddha is the lion king.
佛子就是狮儿。
Buddhist disciples are the lions.
狮儿也能大啸吼,大哮吼
Lions can also roar loudly and wildly.
佛子是大丈夫！
Buddhist disciples are great men!
佛子是顶天立地！
Buddhist disciples have indomitable spirit!
佛子是大无畏！
Buddhist disciples are utterly fearless!
佛子是天地行者！
Buddhist disciples are the practitioners of
Heaven and Earth!
佛子志高云天！
Buddhist disciples are strong-willed!
佛子出淤泥而不染！
Buddhist disciples are born out of slit without
defilement.
佛子逆水行船！
Buddhist disciples sail the boat against the
wind.
佛子自在心安！
Buddhist disciples are free and peaceful at
mind.
佛子赤足步健！
Buddhist disciples run healthily with barefoot.
佛子赤手救难！
Buddhist disciples help to relieve the distressed barehanded.
佛子净口善言！
Buddhist disciples speak pure and kind words.
佛子净意归原！
Buddhist disciples purify their minds to
comply with true selves.
佛子净身圣显！
Buddhist disciples purify their bodies to
show their sacred manners.

afternoon: Complying with the Way, Conforming to the Nature
师父和众弟子有缘人
都是平等的。
Osifu is equal to all the disciples and
predestined friends.
大家要
相互尊重。
Each of you should respect each other.
不可
随意开玩笑。
Don’t make fun of others as you wish.
净心精舍
是 交流体悟 的
正法道场。
The Mind Purification Vihara is a Proper
Dharma bohdimandala for each of you to exchange and communicate personal
realizations.
春天来了
Spring is coming.
尽管有些飞雪迎春
Though there is still some flying snow.
春天的到来是好还是坏？
The arrival of spring is good or bad?
不管好坏，终究她会来。
Regardless good or bad, she will come after
all.
人类似乎都喜欢春天
It seems all human beings like the spring.
但喜欢春天的不仅仅有人类
But it is not only the human beings who like
the spring.
你们听到了春雷
You’ve heard the spring thunder.
人类似乎不喜欢春雷
It seems that the human being don’t like
spring thunder.
但不喜欢春雷不仅仅有人类
But it is not only the human beings who don’t
like the spring thunder.
时空就是这样
So is the time and space.
该怎样她就怎样
She does what she is.
你或者有权利评判、有权利指手画脚、有权利干涉
You may have the right to judge, you may
have to right to find fault of it, and you may have the right to intervene in
it.
后来你会发现,多数情况下，你很徒劳
But later you will find, in most of the
cases, you are in vain.
顺应了宇宙规律、自然法则、人体运行规律，你就会尝到一点甜头儿You will
taste a little of sweetness if you comply with the cosmic law, the principles
of the nature, and the operational rules of the human body.
违背了宇宙规律、自然法则、人体运行规律，你就会尝受到足够的惩罚
You will receive sufficient penalty if you violated
the cosmic law, the principles of the nature, and the operational rules of the
human body.
宇宙是无我的、无私的、无言的
The Universe is egoless, is selfless and
wordless.
自然是无我的、无私的、无言的
The nature is egoless, is selfless and
wordless.
人体是无我的、无私的、无言的
The human body is egoless, is selfless and
wordless.
学道、修道、悟道、证道、行道、合道。
We should study the Way, cultivate the Way,
realize the Way, attain the Way, practice the Way and integrate into the Way.
学法、修法、悟法、证法、行法、合法。
We should study the Dharma, cultivate the
Dharma, realize the Dharma, attain the Dharma, practice the Dharma and
integrate into the
Dharma .
学规律、修规律、悟规律、证规律、行规律、合规律。
We should study the law, cultivate the law,
realize the law, attain the law, practice the law and
integrate into the law .
学法则、修法则、悟法则、证法则、行法则、合法则。
We should study the principles, cultivate
the principles, realize the principles, attain the principles, practice the
principles and
integrate into the principles.
今天，讲了些
看似 很新，实则 很老套东西。
Today, Osifu has expounded something
seemingly new, but actually very old things.
说她新，是因为
说法新颖。
Saying it new is because it was expounded in
a new way.
说她老，是因为
一直这样。
Saying it old is because it always has been going
this way.
一切问题的根源在于：
违背了宇宙规律；
违背了自然法则；
违背了人体运行规律。
The source of all problems lies in:
It has violated the cosmic laws.
It has violated the
principles of nature.
It has violated the operational rules of the
human body.
解决一切问题的办法在于：
顺应宇宙规律；
顺应自然法则；
顺应人体运行规律。
Method to solve all problems lies in:
Comply with the cosmic laws.
Conform to the
principles of nature.
Conform to the operational rules of the
human body.
在
宇宙规律面前，没有了宗教色彩；
在
自然法则面前，没有了种族色彩；
在
人体运行规律面前，没有了门派色彩。
宇宙规律，没有任何色彩；
自然法则，没有任何色彩；
人体运行规律，没有任何色彩。
There is no religion difference in front of
the cosmic laws.
There is no racial difference in front of
the
principles of nature.
There is no sectarian difference in front of
the operational rules of the human body.
There is no color in front of the comic laws.
There is no color in front of the
principles of
nature.
There is no color in front of the
operational rules of the human body.
有人问宇宙间谁最大？
师父会回答：宇宙规律最大。
Some people ask who is the greatest in the
Universe.
Osifu would answer that the cosmic laws is
the greatest.
有人问自然界谁最大？
师父会回答：自然法则最大。
Some people ask who is the greatest in the nature.
Osifu would answer that the
principles of nature is
the greatest.
有人问人体什么最大？
师父会回答：人体运行规律最大。
Some people ask what is the greatest in
human body.
Osifu would answer that the operational
rules of the human body is the greatest.
还有比回归本元更重要的事吗？
还有比出离轮回更重要的事吗？
还有比究竟解脱更重要的事吗？
还有比自在无碍更重要的事吗？
Is there anything more important than
returning the true self?
Is there anything more important than
getting rid of the death and birth cycle?
Is there anything more important than
attaining complete liberation and freedom?
Is there anything more important than
absolute freedom?
众生颠倒
颠倒众生
众生痴迷
痴迷众生
轮回众生
The sentient beings are upside-down
The Upside-down sentient beings
The sentient
beings are infatuated.
The infatuated sentient beings
The transmigrated sentient beings
众生呀众生，不求出离，妄执沉沦；
众生呀众生，不求正法，自作聪明；
众生呀众生，不求菩提，害己害人；
All the living beings, they don’t seek for
getting out of the life and death prison but cling to their own delusions and
have themselves reduced.
All the living beings, they don’t seek for
the Proper Dharma but think themselves clever.
All the living beings, they don’t seek for
the Bodhi fruition but harm themselves and others as well.
学佛
是 智信，不是迷信。
障碍
因为执著，不执著 就一切无碍。
Learning Buddha Dharma is to believe through wisdom but
not superstition.
The obstacles are because of one’s
persistence. Everything will be settled if one gets detached from his or her
persistence of something.
修行路上
是 大浪淘沙 浪里淘金呀！
On the way of cultivation and
practices, it is somewhat like big wave sweeping off the sands and seeking for
gold out of huge waves.
重重考验
烈火之中生金莲
There are numerous tests.
A gold lotus is born of burning fire.
道心退转，执著五欲六尘
也是有的。
There are some people
who retreat from their resolve and abide to the Five Desires and the Six External
Objects, which really exist as well.
修行和工作、生活并不矛盾；反而可以相得益彰。
In fact there
is no contradiction between cultivation and work, instead which can bring out
the best in each other.
愈挫愈勇
愈磨愈坚
Grow stronger
with failures.
Become more
firm with hardships.
弟子
不可追求神通。
一切顺其自然
不著相
不动心
修心最第一
心有多净层次就有多高
My followers! Never pursue for the supernatural
powers.
Allow the nature to take its course.
Don’t attach to any outer forms; keep your mind motionless
Mind
cultivation is the first priority.
The spiritual
level is up to the pureness of one’s mind.

《心如如》
--师父
借假修真苦是福，
如琢如磨玉光出。
犹若圣人怀中珠，
身在浊世心如如。
2010-03-06 19:27:30，题赠弟子有缘人参悟。
Always Keep the Mind in Suchness
--By Osifu
Suffering is actually the blessing when one has
chance to cultivate his or her true self under the help of
false self.
The pure light of jade is turning up with cutting and polishing,
which is like the precious pearl in saint's arms.
Although staying in this turbid world, always keep the mind in suchness.
2010-03-06 19:27:30. A gatha is written
for disciples to study and reflect.
听说过庞蕴居士吗？
Have you heard of Pang Yun lay Buddhist?
有弟子：千金沉江断福路，一心只向佛土行。
Some follower said: He threw his wealth into
river and cut off his opportunities for fortunes, with all his heart to head for
the Buddha lands.
庞居士本是世代儒家，家财万贯
但一心向佛。
Pang lay Buddhist was generations of
Confucianism and was wealthy; however, he chose to follow the steps of the
Buddha with all his heart.
后来，将家中黄金珠宝，搬至一小舟内，划至江中，尽皆抛于江内。随后，带领妻子儿女应该是共四人，进入佛门。
Later he put all his gold and jewelry into a
boat and sailed to the river throwing the gold and jewelry into water. Then he
led his wife and children, four people in total, converted to the Buddha.
有人问他问什么不将珠宝布施？
他说:若将钱财行于布施，只是人天福报，来生还是做个富翁，那就难结佛缘、难得学佛了。
People asked that why he didn’t donate the
jewelry?
He said that if he donated his money to
charity, he would only be rewarded with good retribution to be reborn in the realm
of human or the Heaven; in the next life, he would be a millionaire again, and
that would be difficult to make Buddhism connections and learn Buddhism.
抛于江中，自然断了财富之路，一方面，穷人好学佛，一方面，也就是破釜沉舟，誓成佛道了。这是真正的大智慧。
Throwing his fortunes into river, and
naturally cutting off his opportunity of making fortunes, in one hand, it is
easier for the poor to cultivate Buddhism; on the other hand, he has made up
his mind to achieve the ultimate enlightenment, which is the genuine great wisdom.
而后，庞氏家人，在佛门皆成正果
Later, the whole family of Pang had all
attained saint fruits.
弟子要是没记错，庞居士临走时，是倒立的，没有人能推动他。
是他妻子来了，骂了一句，说他已经走了还不正经，身体才倒下来。
If not mistaken, Pang lay Buddhist died with
his head standing on the ground, and nobody could push him down. It was his
wife who scolded him and said that he was not serious even when he had already
passed away, and then his body fell down to the ground.
师父：这么说来，庞蕴可有智慧？
庞氏一家
值得学习吗？
老庞是游戏神通。
庞居士是我们的榜样，模范。
我们都是居士嘛
庞家四人都有偈，
偈偈妙解如来意。
你说东来他说西，
离题万里心不异。
真好！
Osifu: So, did Pang Yun have wisdom?
The whole family of Pang is worth of being
an example?
Pang lay Buddhist was playing supernatural
powers.
Pang lay Buddhist is our example and model.
We are all lay Buddhists.
The four people in Pang’s family all had
gathas.
And every gathas have exactly and wonderfully
expressed the true meaning of the Thus Come Ones.
Everybody talked about different things,
which digressed from the point thousands miles away but with the same mind.
Very good!
弟子：师父的文字般若之妙，弟子实在是十体投地仍无法表达心中敬意！
Some follower said: Master’s wonderful text Prajna,
I can hardly express my respect in heart.
庞蕴居士说：“难难难，一担芝麻树上摊！”
其妻接口说：“易易易，百草头上祖师意！”
其女儿灵照最后归纳说：“不难也不易，饥来吃饭困来眠。”
Pang Yun lay Buddhist said: “it is so
difficult, like spreading out a load of sesame on a tree.”
His wife broke in saying: “it is so easy
that the patriarch’s true intention lies in head of the grass.”
His daughter Lin Zhao concluded: “it is
neither difficult nor easy, having meals when one is hungry and going to sleep
when one is sleepy.”
师父：大家
不妨 和 庞蕴居士，一起
参禅悟道。
庞蕴居士
是佛化家庭，但不是现在人口中的“佛化家庭”。
Osifu: Each of you might as well join in
Pang Yun lay Buddhist, and study the Zen and realize the Way together.
Pang Yun lay Buddhist is a Buddhism family,
but not the “Buddhism family” understood by the current ordinary.
现在人口中的“佛化家庭”，危险系数超级高。
现在人口中的“佛化家庭”，要么齐上净土，要么齐下恶道。
现在人口中的“佛化家庭”，齐上净土者，万中无一。
The so called “Buddhism family” understood
by the present ordinary has super high dangerous factors.
The so called “Buddhism family” understood
by the present ordinary, either goes to the pure land together, or fall into
the evil ways together.
The so called “Buddhism family” understood
by the current ordinary, there is seldom one family goes to the pure land out
of ten thousand families.
你们
也可从庞蕴居士 事迹中 找答案。
现在
很多人学佛 都是 自欺欺人。
You can also find the answers from the story
of Pang Yun lay Buddhist.
Nowadays, there are many Buddhists who deceive
themselves and others as well.
奈何天不可欺!
奈何神不可欺！
奈何阴律不可欺！
奈何天条不可欺！
奈何因果不可欺！
However, the Heaven cannot be fooled!
However, the Deities cannot be fooled!
However, the chthonian law cannot be fooled
However, the heavenly rules cannot be fooled.
However, the karma cannot be fooled.
感谢我佛慈悲。
吾无隐乎尔
吾无隐乎尔
时时与佛相应
时时得佛加持
Great thanks for my compassionate Buddhas.
I have nothing to hide from you.
I have nothing to hide from you.
Always be responsive to Buddhas.
Always have Buddhas’ blessing.
弟子呀
净心
与佛相应。
弟子呀，不可以开玩笑。
谨言慎行
My followers! Purify your mind to be responsive
to the Buddhas.
My
followers ! Don’t joke!
Be cautious to both your behaviors and
speeches!
要有
菩萨风范
要有
大乘气象
要有
我佛气度
要有
大丈夫气概
Need to behave in the manner of the Bodhisattvas.
Need to act with the Mahayana style.
Need to behave in the manner of Buddhas.
Need to act with true men’s lofty quality!
