Messages from Osifu
The Way is Achieved by Mind
June 18th, 2011
只是提醒你们：下雨了，要照顾好自己。
Only to remind you that it is
raining and take good care of yourself.
随心随缘随机
Do everything following your mind,
according to situations or opportunities.
这就叫做：各有机缘。
This is called: Things happen
due to their own causes.
有弟子说，师父 感觉有事情发生
Some disciple said: Master, I felt
something is happening.
弟子呀，不著相，不动心。继续精进就是了。
Dear disciple! Don’t attach your
mind to any outer phases, keep your mind firm and strong, and keep on
practicing diligently.
做好自己该做的事情。
Do your duties well.
准备好雨具，什么时候下雨都无碍。
Having the rain gear ready, you
will not catch in rain whenever it rains.
你们看！
Look !
你们听！
Listen!
这一切不都是虚妄的么？
Isn’t this all illusory?
转识成智 离妄即真 是菩萨行呀！
Transforming the knowledge into wisdom
and following the truth by being free from delusion are the practices of a
Bodhisattva.
一切不住着
Don’t attach your mind to
anything!
佛曰：应无所住而生其心。
The Buddha said: One should develop
a mind which does not rely on anything.
就看我们实修亲证--无所住心。
It all depends on our
self-cultivation and verification---a free mind detached from everything.
实证到：无我无为，顺道而行，造福苍生，普济万灵！
To verify the state of mind: With
non-self and an unconditioned mind, complying with the Way to bring bliss and
benefits to the living beings!
有弟子问：师父 是不是无法做到一下就无我 还需要每天做功课 逐渐破除妄识 才能转识成智呀？
Some disciple asked: Master, is
it unable to achieve the mind state of non-self suddenly, right? So we have to
practice every day and gradually get rid of the delusional knowledge so as to transform
it into wisdom?
悟得好
Good realization!
所以要必修课
So we have to do the compulsory
practices.
所以要休息
So we have to take rest.
所以要摄心
So we have to concentrate our
minds.
有弟子问：师父 一心大普度 是不是 也执著了？
Some disciple asked: Master, is
it an attachment for dedicating to the Great Salvation with all our efforts?
除了大普度，还能做什么呢？
Is there anything to do except
for the Great Salvation?
大普度是师父的大愿。
The Great Salvation is the great
vow of Osifu.
诸佛菩萨多劫来都在忙于度人，怎可理解为执着呢？
The Buddhas and Bodhisattvas
have been busy with rescuing and helping people since countless eons and how
can we regard it as an attachment?
诸佛菩萨无我，又何来住著呢？
The Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are
all with non-self and how to attach their minds to something?
犹如太阳普照地球
They shine over the Earth as the
sun.
无我则无住 有我则有住
Non-self makes a mind which attach
to nothing while the ego develops a mind which rely on things.
无我则无为 有我则有为
Non-self makes a mind that is
unconditioned while the ego develops a mind that is conditioned.
无我执，你依然有一个能量信息密码团。并非你什么都没有了。
Without the ego, you still have an
energy-information-code ball and it is not the case that you have nothing.
有弟子问：逐渐去妄 真心逐渐显露 师父就不用那么费心了
Some disciple asked: If we gradually get rid of our delusional thoughts
and our true minds appear then it will not bother Osifu so much.
悟得好呀
It is really a good realization!
这需要一个过程 师父知道的
Osifu knows that time is needed.
无愿不成佛
One would never become a Buddha
without resolve.
心空 指的是心不住着、心不执著，并非心里什么都没有。
Empty the mind means that the
mind doesn’t rely on anything nor attach to anything, which doesn’t mean that
one has nothing on mind.
无愿不成佛
One would never become a Buddha
without resolve.
菩萨无心，以众生之心为心
Bodhisattvas don’t have minds but
they have the minds of the sentient beings as their own.
大菩萨没有妄心起动。
The great Bodhisattvas have no
delusional minds.
与甚深禅定中。如如不动。
They are in deep meditation and
their minds are in deep and firm concentration.
随众生的妄想分别执着而随缘教化众生。
They instruct and guide the
sentient beings according the delusions, fractionations and persistence of the
beings.
一切法皆是佛法。因机逗教。因人施教。
Everything is Buddha Dharma,
which teaches people according to situations and their different abilities.
人在危难之时，第一个念头是脱离险境。
When one is in danger, the first
thought is to getting out of it.
菩萨无心，以众生之心为心。
Bodhisattvas don’t have minds
and they have the minds of the sentient beings as their own.
众生求救之心，犹如发射求救信号，观音菩萨，无缘大慈，同体大悲，有如监控雷达，念观音菩萨感应最灵敏快速。
The living beings’ thoughts for
help are somewhat like launching a signal for help. The Bodhisattva
Avalokiteshvara, with unconditional kindness and great compassion, is somewhat
like a monitoring radar, and the response of chanting Avalokiteshvara is the
most sensitive and rapid.
有弟子说：深信菩萨会安排好一切的。一切皆是定数 何必妄念呢！都是虚幻 何必执著呢？
Some disciple said: I convinced
that the Buddha will arrange everything well. Since all is destined, why we concern
them with delusional thoughts? All is illusory, why we have to cling to it?
弟子呀 如果你什么都不做，佛菩萨什么都安排不了你。这需要你有愿有行。
Dear disciple! If you do
nothing, the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas cannot arrange anything for you. It needs
you to bring forth your resolve and put it into practice.
被动的“等、靠、要”都是无法成就的。
The passive waiting, dependence
and requirements will cause you fulfilling nothing.
真佛子又怎会被“气数”“定数”所拘呢？呵呵
Well, how can a real Buddhist disciple
be confined in ‘fate’ or ‘destiny’?
命自我立
One creates one’s own destiny.
运由我转
One makes one’s own fortune.
道由心成
The Way is achieved by the mind.
借假修真
Make use of the physical body to
cultivate one’s true nature.
地狱也是虚妄，若造了地狱恶业，感生地狱，地狱诸苦同样让你苦不堪言的。
The hell is also illusory, but
if you conduct something evil to enable yourself reborn into the hell, where
the sufferings will also make you miserable.
雨依然在下.....
It is still raining……
弟子们！
Dear disciples!
以雨为题写几首诗，留给今人及后人吧
Osifu is going to write a few gathas
on topic of the rain, leaving them to the generations today and in future.
《大自在》
--〇
雨来风来九天来，
风声雨声通天籁。
拂尘高举落案台，
自在自在大自在。
The Utmost Ease
--By Osifu
Rain and wind are coming and the high heaven is coming.
The sounds of the rain and wind are resonating with the sound of nature.
The whisk is held highly in hand standing on the desk with all at the
utmost ease.

《三无碍》
--〇
雨携风势铺天来，
风助雨威山河盖。
渺渺茫茫融三才，
三盘三轮三无碍。
The Three are all smooth
--By Osifu
The rain carrying the force of the wind is coming overwhelmingly from the
sky.
The wind help to increase the power of the rain and they covered
mountains and rivers very soon.
The three forces of the Heaven, Earth and Human are connected together in
the vastness.
In addition the three realms, three ways are all running smoothly.

《不清凉》
--〇
一手推开案前窗，
万点风雨扑心房。
浉水不见贤首苍，
夏日何处不清凉。
Not Cool and Refreshing
--By Osifu
Single-handedly pushes the window open in front of the desk, while winds and
the raindrops flied to the chest.
The Shi River disappears and the Xianshou Mountain is also obscured by
the rain.
In such summer nowhere can be found that is not cool and refreshing.

《不观天》
--〇
可怜可叹痴心汉，
风雨交加团团转。
何时得度身心安，
不观风雨不观天。
Not watching the Heaven
--By Osifu
How miserable the infatuated person is, who is torn with extreme anxiety
in such a stormy day.
When he is rescued and his body and mind become free at ease, will he not
watch the winds and rains as well as the heaven.

《问出期》
--〇
可悲可惜迷情女，
风雨交集犹自惜。
粉面油头红尘里，
爱河滚滚问出期。
Get out of it
--By Osifu
How lamentable and regrettable the love-obsessed girl is, who is self-pitted
in the wind and rain.
With smooth hair and creamy face wandering in the mundane land, when
would she get out of the rolling rivers of love.

如泣如诉地心语，
如歌如曲天心偈。
交响交织万全息，
佛子灵子当开启。
Should be Inspired
--By Osifu
The Earth is whispering as if it were weeping and complaining, and the
Heaven is composing gathas as if it were singing and playing music.
They are reverberating and intertwining in holographic, and the Buddhists
disciples and living beings should be inspired.

--〇
万般摩尼万般妙，
亿万灵儿亿万骄。
心无系缚无恶恼，
无我无为行大道。
Practicing the Great Way
--By Osifu
Ten thousand Moni Beads have ten thousand esoteric functions, while hundreds
millions of living beings have hundreds millions of wonders.
A free mind with nothing attached will not be bothered by any annoyance,
while with non-self and an unconditioned mind we practice the great Way.

Wish each of you attain the
Buddha hood soon!
讲的法要让有缘人 入耳入心才有效果。
It would be effective only when
the teachings are given in a way that is pleasant to the hearts and ears for
the predestined friends.
众生难度呀
The sentient beings are so hard to
instruct and guide.
度人一定要讲究 善巧方便
We must pay attention to the
skills and approaches to instruct and guide people.
度人的方式方法很重要
The methods and approaches of
instructing people are very important.
仅仅有真心 切意 是不够的。
It will not be enough only with
sincerity and kindness.
就像 遇到了 失散多年的孩子，他（她）流浪多年，沾染了一身坏习惯。
It is somewhat like meeting a
child of your own who has lost contact with you for years, he or she has
tainted with many bad habits after wandering for so many years.
这个孩子又没有从心底里认亲，或者还有一些生分，疑虑。
And the child hasn’t recognized
you deep down, or, he/she is still discouraging familiarities or is full of
doubts.
我们过于苛责，他（她）会不理解的，甚至会选择离开。
If we criticized too much, he or
she will not understand and may choose to leave.
我们需要足够的爱心、耐心和方式方法，感化感动他（她）。
We need to have enough love and
care, patience, skills and approaches to touch and move him/ her.
〇曰：不遗一灵！
Osifu says: Never abandon a
single living being!
不管发生什么情况，不管需要救度的有缘人对我们如何，我们都要尽心尽力慈悲救度，不留遗憾！
No matter what happens, no
matter how we are treated by the predestined friends who need the salvation, we
will do our best to help and save them with kindness and compassion without any
regret!
〇曰：不离不弃！
Osifu says: Never abandon any
one!
不管发生什么情况，不管需要救度的有缘人对我们如何，我们都要尽心尽力慈悲救度，不遗余力！
No matter what happens, no
matter how we are treated by the predestined friends who need the salvation, we
will do our best to help and save them with kindness and compassion sparing no
efforts!
〇曰：同心同归！
Osifu says: Return back together
one-heartedly!
不管发生什么情况，不管需要救度的有缘人对我们如何，我们都要尽心尽力慈悲救度，圆满回归！
No matter what happens, no
matter how we are treated by the predestined friends who need the salvation, we
will do our best to help and save them with kindness and compassion returning
home successfully!
以刚克柔
以柔克刚
刚柔并济
无不通达
Removing the toughness with
softness, while restraint the softness with strength, and everything is
accessible while mix the strength with softness together.
