Your Future Depends on Your Mind

June 19th in Lunar Calendar
is a major day in the Buddhist circle---the Anniversary of Avalokitesvara
Bodhisattva’s Enlightenment. In Buddhism, it is believed that on that day such activities
as chanting the name of Buddha, reciting sutras, holding mantras and freeing
the captive animals have special excellent significances and each participant will
obtain great merits and virtues resulting from them.
为什么把六月十九日 定为观世音菩萨成道日呢？这是因民间由来以久的一个说法演化而来的。
Why is June 19th regarded
as the Date of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva’s Enlightenment? It evolved from a long-standing
folk legend.
A long time ago, there was a
legend about Princess Miao-Shan. Later the Princess Miao-Shan achieved
enlightenment and attained the Way on June 19th, appearing in the looks of
Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva with thousands hands and eyes. So the later
generations regarded the day as the Date of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva’s Enlightenment.
观世音菩萨相貌端庄慈祥，经常手持净瓶杨柳，具有无量的智慧和神通，大慈大悲，普救人间灾难。
Always holding a bottle of pure water with a willow
branch, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva looks dignified and benign with limitless
wisdom and supernatural powers. She always assists those in difficulties
mercifully.
As long as people in disasters recite her name, she
went to save and rescue them immediately, so she was named Avalokitesvara. She
is the first bodhisattva with the leader Amitabha Buddha in
the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. She, along with Mahastamaprapta, is
Amitabha Buddha’s retinue bodhisattva, three of whom are called the Holy Triad
of the West.
观世音前身早已成就佛果，号“正法明如来”。其后又以菩萨的身份乘愿再来，普渡众生。正法明如来是古佛中的古佛，他所教化的菩萨摩诃萨无穷无量从亘古至如今，在法界宇宙无数的银河系中，己培育出数不尽的菩萨摩诃萨成就佛果，是十方如来之师。
Formerly Avalokitesvara has already achieved the
Buddha-fruit and was called Proper Dharma Brightness Tathagata. Later she came
back with a mission to save sentient beings as a Bodhisattva. Proper Dharma
Brightness Tathagata is an ancient Buddha of the ancient Buddhas. From
everlasting to now, immeasurable Bodhisattvas Mahasattva were taught and
transformed by her. In the infinite galaxies of dharma-realm and universe,
countless Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas were fostered to achieve Buddha-fruit. She
is the master of Tathagata of the ten directions.
释迦牟尼佛曾多次演说观世音菩萨与娑婆世界的因缘。最直接的是佛在《地藏经》中这样告诉观世音菩萨：你与娑婆世界有一大因缘，所有的天龙、鬼神乃至六道中的苦难众生，若能闻你名号，或见你形像，或敬仰赞叹你，这些众生必生於无上道，且必获不转退心，常生人道或天界，享受安乐，等到因缘成熟时，会遇佛授记，他日必将成佛的。
Shakyamuni Buddha had discoursed many times the affinity
of Avalokitesvara and the Saha World. The most straightforward one was that the
Buddha told Avalokitesvara in The Bodhisattva
Kishitigarbha Vow Sutra: You have great affinity with the Saha World. If
gods, dragons, men, women, spirits, ghosts, or any other beings who are
suffering from offenses within the Six Paths hear your name, see your image,
behold you, or praise you, they will definitely become irreversible on the
Unsurpassed Way. They will always be born in realms of human and gods and
experience wonderful bliss. When the effects of their causes come to maturity,
they will encounter Buddhas who give them predictions and will become Buddhas
themselves in future.
“家家弥陀佛、户户观世音”。观音菩萨的信仰千百年来早已广泛流传。她是大乘佛教慈悲救世精神的体现。
Every family recites Amitabha and
each family pray to Avalokitesvara. The belief in Avalokitesvara has already spread
widely for thousands of years. She is the embodiment of compassionate salvation
spirit in Mahayana Buddhism.
Compassion is namely Avalokitesvara, which is known widely
in China and firmly embedded in the minds of people. Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva is the symbol of truth. Though she is
invisible but is omnipresent. She is called the protector of humankind.
Wisdom, compassion, practices and vows are the marks
and symbols of four great Bodhisattvas in Mahayana Buddhism. They are Manjusri,
Avalokiteshevara, Samantabhadra and Ksitigahba.
The prevailing beliefs in the four great
Bodhisattvas in China bring about the four famous mountains bodhimandala.
Manjusri represents wisdom; Avalokiteshevara represents compassion; and
Samantabhadra represents practices while Ksitigahba represents vow-power. The personified concept of Mahayana
Buddhism is condensed among the four great Bodhisattvas, which makes the famous
dictums become vivid image deeds.
Among wisdom, compassion, practices and vows, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva is a representative of kindness
and compassion. Great kindness bestows happiness and great compassion relieves
beings from suffering. Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva’s
characteristic of helping the needy and relieving the distressed in the Saha World
make her become the embodiment of kindness and compassion.
Accidents will happen in the
best-regulated families. Under the circumstances of the impossibility of eliminating natural disasters
and social accidents, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, who is
regarded as the ferryboat in the sea of
suffering and anyone can get the response whenever and wherever to pray, becomes
the eternal faith and the recourse hope in people’s minds.
Today
is incomparable wonderful day--- the Anniversary
of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva’s Enlightenment. We must practice courageously and vigorously and the merits and virtues
are infinite.
大慈大悲观世音菩萨是师父的老师之一，也是你们的老师。
Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva is one of 〇sifu’s masters and she is your master, too. We should study the spirit of
kindness and compassion of
Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, and then turn them into the impetus of bringing
bliss to all under heaven and serving millions of beings.
每一天都是无比殊胜的日子，每一天都是佛菩萨生日、出家日、成道日、涅槃日。我们每一天都要勇猛精进，功德无量！
Each
day is an incomparable wonderful day. Each day is birthday of the Buddha and
Bodhisattvas, the day of pravrajana, the
day of enlightenment and the day of nirvana. Therefore, every day we should
practice courageously and vigorously and the merits and virtues are infinite.
Each day is the most precious day, which belongs to
you only once. Therefore, every day we should practice courageously and vigorously

From
the moment we reincarnated into the fetus, the sandglass of this lifetime has
already turned and started to count time. Straightforward speaking, at the very
moment when we reincarnated into the fetus, our lifetime entered the countdown. One day spent, one day
passed away. One second passed, one second is cut off.
还是欲言又止，各自顺其因果吧！
Many people did not know to cherish the valuable
time and stupidly squandered his life, which is really sad. Well, whenever
talking about this, Osifu wants to reveal the heaven's secrets but words get in
the way. Let each goes along his cause and effect!
有个弟子禀告师父说，经过某市地下铁时，突然一刹那看到一番景象，整个地下铁被海水灌满，人没水中，很惨烈。
A disciple told 〇sifu that when he passed by a city
subway, suddenly seeing a scene that the sea water pouring
into the entire subway, people sank in the water. It is very tragic.
〇sifu said: Don’t cling to anything and don’t say. Go on practicing diligently and do well what you should.
师父说，不执著，不可说，继续精进，做好自己该做的。
A disciple told 〇sifu that when he stood on a high
tower, suddenly seeing a scene that the entire city crushed into ruins. It is
very tragic.
〇sifu said: Don’t cling to anything and don’t say. Go on practicing diligently and do well what you should.
For the similar calamities information or the
sensate image seen by disciples, 〇sifu would tell them: Don’t
cling to anything. Keep your heart unmoving and don’t say. Go on practicing diligently and do
well what you should.

Be able to awaken the predestined friends to tune
their minds for goodness and tune their minds to restore the inner Buddha-nature.
The
original intention of the24 Verses of Earth
Energy-Information Graphic is to awaken
predestined friends to tune their minds for goodness and tune their mind to restore
the inner Buddha-nature. However, some people took them as prophecy or
prediction, so it is very ridiculous and lack of wisdom at all. They are only
used to awaken the common people, and nothing more.
弟子们！
Dear disciples!
〇sifu reminds you once again: For the channeled
information, don’t cling to it, keep your heart unmoving
and don’t talk about it. Go on practicing diligently and performing the Way.

disasters; what’s more, don’t make predestined friends restless and upset
because of talking about the information of disaster.
师父再次提醒你们：2012不是世界末日，而是地球母亲一次美好甜蜜的阵痛。

not end of the world but the wonderful and sweet throes of the Mother Earth.
〇sifu reminds you once again: the Earth has no end, but only adjustment, clean,
sublimation and ascension. Earth---the home which human live in will get better
and better!
〇sifu reminds you once again: The world
will become more and more harmonious. The mankind on the earth will be getting happier,
and the happiness index is like that in paradise.
师父再次提醒你们：你们的功德决定你将来看到的世界。

you will see in future depends on your merits and virtues.

will live in the future depends on your virtuous practices.

是的，你们将来的世界是一个，但是对每一个人来说又是不一样的世界。
Yes, your world in future is one that is different
for each individual.
这是你的心所决定的。
这是你的业所决定的。
这是你的功德决定的。
这是你的修积决定的。
It’s up to your mind.
It’s up to your karma.
It’s up to your merits and virtues.
It’s up to your virtuous practices.
It’s up to your causes and conditions.
It’s up to your cultivation and accumulation.
你们自己编织了自己的梦境。
Yes, you create your own world and weave your own
dreams.
So simple!
这个梦境是用你的身语意编织的。
归根结底是你的心造的。
这不是秘密。
The
dream is woven by your body, speeches and mind. After all it is caused by your
mind. It isn’t a secret, and not much else.
今日就讲到这里吧！
